About Vitreum Fitness
Precision.
Strength.
Progress.
Vitreum Fitness was created to offer a different standard of personal training.
Training here is private, focused and built around evidence-based methods- not trends or shortcuts. Every session takes place in a fully private studio, allowing complete attention to detail, movement quality, and long-term progress through consistent, intelligent training.
Founded and led by Dr Ben Colwell (MRCVS), Vitreum Fitness reflects a coaching approach shaped by decades of strength training, martial arts instruction, and a strong scientific background.

Our Mission
Our mission is to deliver high-quality, evidence-based personal training in a fully private environment.
Training at Vitreum Fitness is structured, sustainable, and designed around long-term health and performance.
An important part of that process is education and confidence.
The aim isn't to create reliance on coaching, but to build understanding and capability - so clients can train confidently on their own.

Training Adapted to the Individual
Training is tailored to the individual, progressive, and grounded in movement quality and recovery- not generic programming.
In practice, this means sessions are planned around injury history, recovery capacity, stress levels, and life-stage considerations such as peri- and menopause, while maintaining technical standards and long-term progression. Capability often doesn't decrease, provided recovery and training variables are appropriately managed.
Sessions remain progressive and purposeful, while respecting joint health, energy availability, and long term resilience. This ensures training stays effective, appropriate, and sustainable as goals and circumstances change.
The Training Environment
Training takes place in an appointment-only studio designed for focused, high-quality coaching.
Sessions run without interruptions, queues or shared equipment, allowing complete attention to your training technique and progress.
The studio is equipped with commercial-grade strength and conditioning equipment, selected to support effective, evidence-based training. Every element is selected to support safe progression, technical quality and long-term development.
The setting allows training to remain calm, structured and personal- creating an environment where consistency, confidence and results can be built over time.

A Considered Approach to Training
Vitreum Fitness was created to provide a higher standard of personal training- where evidence-based methods, professional standards, and individual attention come first.
